Family Business
Family Business is a multiple media project about Epstein's father and the demise of the family furniture store and real estate business. With photographs, video, archival material, interviews, storyboards, and a personal essay, Epstein recounts William Epstein’s life, which mirrors the success and downfall of Holyoke, Mass., a formerly thriving northeastern industrial town. Through the story of the artist’s father, Family Business questions how the American dream went awry.
